Histotherm baths

The Histotherm flotation bath HIS-2 is used to remove wrinkles and distortions in paraffin wax sections created during sectioning.
The low profile ensures good ergonomic conditions, good view and safe handling of the sections.
The placement of the heating element around the side wall ensures a centripetal movement of the water surface preventing the sections sticking to the inside wall during flotation.
The size of the indirectly heated flat edge at the back of the bath provides ample space for slide drying.
The Histotherm flotation bath is delivered with a cover to prevent evapouration and dust contarmination when not in use.
The temperature is thermostatically controlled and adjustable in the temperature range of +30 to 70°C.
Temperature adjustment and power On/Off switch with control light for »On« are conveniently located at the front.
Main socket (with fuse) for removeable power cord is located at the back.
The water bath is equipped with a thermofuse to switch off the current to the heating element if the temperature increase to more than 118°C.Cabinet parts are made of polyester coated aluminium.
The bath it self is made of nylon-coated 3 mm aluminium to insure uniform water temperature.
